Our Vertical Cycle

At Maglificio Benve Srl we have the corporate structure and a team of expertise to follow the cycle of each of our items from start to finish.

For each new garment designed, we decide the weight, fineness and thread count, determining whether to produce it with a natural coloring or to dye it.

Various types of Cashmere producers

Cashmere production is a complex and delicate process that requires great care and skill. Did you know that there are three types of producers? Here is an overview of the different types of producers.

1. Producers who contract out the entire process to subcontractors, using what is called a commercialized service. This can take place in Italy, Europe or Asia. Often there is not complete control over the quality and authenticity of the finished product, and one should be very wary of mesh compositions that come from China. In addition, there are also manufacturers who compete unfairly by bringing in goods from China and relabeling them ‘Made in Italy,’ committing trade fraud.

2. Manufacturers who buy yarn and outsource to outside companies specializing in services related to obtaining the finished, ready-to-sell product, in Italy, Romania and Tunisia.

3. Manufacturers who cover the entire vertical cashmere cycle, from the purchase of raw material to the production of finished garments, ensuring quality and innovation at every stage of the process.

Types of cashmere sweaters on the market

Cashmere has grown a lot in popularity because of its elegance and quality. But did you know that there are four types of cashmere knits on the market? They are worth knowing in order to make informed purchases.

1. New knits: handcrafted in all steps from new yarn to finished product, generally of fine thickness

2. Eco cashmere knits: contain a portion of new raw material and 30-40% regenerated raw material, and can be of fine or medium thickness

3. 100% regenerated knits: made from used knits, which are cut, put into color, and then the yarn is remade. Then all stages of weaving are carried out from scratch to produce new garments

4. Reconditioned jerseys: these are jerseys imported from North America, which are washed, re-styled, and put on the market in the stalls for 35-40 € each although they are basically used jerseys, and they are sold as samples. The feature is that they are not serialized, that is, you can find colors of which there are not all sizes
